Connect compatible UK-plug appliances to a matching CEE supply using this lead with a 32 A CEE input plug, 3G2.5 Arctic cable and a BG WP22RCD double switched socket unit.

Input rating and shared output limit

The 32 A figure describes the CEE input connector. The BG WP22RCD socket unit is rated 13 A; both outlets share that limit. Do not add the two outlet ratings together to assume a 26 A supply.

The WP22RCD provides residual-current protection. This lead has no separate inline fuse or circuit breaker; the fuses are in the UK plugs of the connected appliances. Those plug fuses protect the individual appliance circuits and do not enforce a shared 13 A limit across both outlets. Keep the combined load within 13 A and ensure the supply arrangement provides suitable overcurrent protection for the cable and socket unit. The built-in RCD does not provide overload protection.

Latching RCD operation

The socket has a latching RCD mechanism. Connected equipment may restart when power returns after an interruption. BG advises against using outdoor power tools where an unexpected restart could cause injury. Follow BG’s operating and RCD test instructions.

Connection and outdoor use

Connect the CEE input plug to a matching supply outlet and the appliances to the UK sockets. Inspect the lead before use and fully unwind the cable. Any supply-side extension or adapter must have compatible connectors and suitable ratings.

The IP66 rating belongs to the socket enclosure under BG’s stated conditions; it is not a waterproof rating for the entire lead or the CEE connection. Keep the socket cover securely closed in use and keep connections out of standing water. Follow the manufacturer’s installation and mounting requirements.
